From the page: "If at any time in your life you've had food in your hand near a swimming pool, you've heard this myth. You cannot swim until you've waited at least 30 minutes."
Most of the 6 myths outlined in the article I've heard, and, sadly, believed, but this one about swimming really bums me out.
I wonder how many hours of water time this cost me as a kid.
I remember the agony of waiting and waiting as I slowly roasted in the sun on the beach.

From the page: ""Milk?! A biscuit dipped in milk? Who does that?""
I had a helluva time finding Oreos here in Ireland and this was exactly what my Irish husband said to me when, after securing a small package, I told him how they're eaten.
His response? "I'd rather have it in tea." Bleccccch.

From the page: "Even though men with this hairstyle comprise just 3 percent of the U.S. populace, they make up nearly 80 percent of all film and TV villains, bad guys, and just plain assholes. As a result, thousands of men who enjoy wetting their hair and then combing it straight back face a silent but pervasive form of discrimination every single day.""
I've known men - good men - who liked a handful of product to give them that "tamed, still-wet" look; let's stop the prejudice!

The ultimate ethical meal: a grey squirrel | Food and drink | Life and Health

From the page: "It's low in fat, low in food miles and completely free range. In fact, some claim that Sciurus carolinensis - the grey squirrel - is about as ethical a dish as it is possible to serve on a dinner plate."
Curiosity does make me wonder: how many servings do you get out of one?
How much does it sell for per pound?
Can you grind it up, like cow, buffalo, and turkey?
I did find a page devoted entirely to squirrel recipes.  Yikes.

Shark populations worldwide are being decimated by the consumption of their fins, and several are now under formal risk of endangerment or extinction.
